WHAT ARE THE OUTINGS / EXERCISE / RACE DURING THE TRIP?
Every Fit Trip is unique. We train to travel and travel to train. Many of our trips are based around a challenging race or excursion managed by a reputable athletic organization. Of course, other activities are planned throughout the trip to keep you moving. The trips might include but are not limited to a rock climb, half-marathon, 15K or 10K, bike ride, hike, swim, yoga, Pilates, stretch session, or spa treatment. Our goal is to incorporate tours that will enhance your sense of place. Each trip itinerary will include active tours specific to the destination. Fit Trip works with local tour guides to organize group tours as well as provide options for your free time choose your own tour.

WHAT WILL THE PRE-TRIP WORKOUTS BE LIKE?
We will organize a meet up if there are multiple participants in your area two times a week for group trainings designed to prepare you for your trip’s itinerary. Group trainings and weekly workouts will probably include long runs, sprint workouts, bike ride or spinning class, swimming, strength and agility sessions, and stretching or yoga. The training group will meet one evening during the week and one morning on the weekend throughout the training season. You will be given a workout schedule for 6/7 days a week. One day of rest per week is mandatory. You can do the workouts on your own or meet the group. The schedule will include a food diary and reporting area.
HOW BIG IS THE GROUP? WHAT IF I CAN’T KEEP UP?
Fit Trip is based on small group fitness and it is our goal that all participants succeed. You are welcome to go at your own pace as long as you Go. We will work with you to accomplish your individual goals.
I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS. CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE THEM?
We will make every effort to accommodate dietary restrictions. Please let us know your specific needs upon registering for a trip.
Pre-trip small group training, pre-trip workout schedule, race entry fees, double occupancy lodging, ground transportation at destination, lunches, dinners (quantity specified per trip), and group tours.
Tours run by our partners will include the necessary equipment for the specific tour such as a bike and helmet for an organized bike tour. Beer and wine on partner run beverage tours is also included such as a winery visit or a pub cycle tour.
Air fare, alcoholic beverages, breakfasts, training or race equipment, personal expenses, spa treatments not specified in trip itinerary, tours booked on your own, travel insurance, ground transportation beyond the trip itinerary.
You will receive a detailed itinerary one week before departure. The itinerary will let you know locations and times for the scheduled events. Please respect the meeting times listed on the itineraries as the group will be dependent on one another.
CAN MY HUSBAND /BABY/ FAMILY COME?
Each Fit Trip invites a different training travel group. We prefer that everyone on a Fit Trip is a participant. Fit Trip offers women-only, co-ed adult, family, and teen trips. We also arrange personal Fit Trips for families or friends by request.
WHAT IS THE ROOMING SITUATION?
The price is based on Double Occupancy. All rooms will have two beds. You can choose your roommate or we will pair you. We have introduced best friends.
CAN I PAY MORE AND ROOM BY MYSELF?
Yes, please inquire about the cost of a single room upgrade.
A $650 deposit is required to make your reservation. The balance is due 60 dates prior to the start of your trip.
CAN I PAY ALL AT ONCE?
Yes, Pay in Full is accepted.
HOW DO WE MAKE PAYMENTS?
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
$300 is non-refundable. On the second day of training, $1000 is non-refundable. Full payment is due and non-refundable 60 days prior to the start of your trip. We cannot give refunds for cancellations for any reason during the 60 days prior to the start of the trip.
We recommend travel insurance, Assist Card, that will cover you during your trip as well trip interruption for an unseen circumstance. View details.
LATE RESERVATIONS AND TRANSFERS
You are invited to sign up for a trip until space is full. You can transfer your reservation minus the $250 deposit until 60 days prior to the start of the trip.
We offer an early bird registration in the first 10 days a trip reservation is open. Fit Trippers who have participated in a previous trip will be given advance notice to take advantage of the early bird discount.
We offer gift certificates available for a specific trip as well as $250, $500, $2500 to be used towards any Fit Trip Reservation. Gift Certificates are non-refundable. Contact us if you are interested in purchasing.
FIT TRIP’S INSURANCE
All Fit Trip trainers as independent contractors are required to carry Personal Trainer Insurance.
